ReStore Donation Acceptance Guidelines

General Conditions
- Items must be in working order.
- Items must be less than 10 years old.
- Items must be clean, dry, and free of rips, stains, and pet damage.
- We cannot accept items that are recalled, missing parts, or missing safety components.
- Final acceptance is at the discretion of ReStore staff at the time of drop-off.
What We Accept
Appliances
- Refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers — working, under 10 years old
Cabinets & Countertops
- Complete cabinet sets in good structural condition
- Countertops in usable condition
Furniture
- Sofas, chairs, tables, dressers, bed frames — clean, structurally sound, no rips or stains
Building Materials
- Lumber, doors, windows, trim, flooring, tile — new or gently used, in usable quantities
Fixtures
- Lighting, ceiling fans, sinks, faucets, toilets — complete and working
Hardware & Tools
- Hand tools, power tools, hardware, fasteners
Home Décor
- Mirrors, artwork, rugs, lamps
What We Do Not Accept
- TVs, computers, and VCRs
- Water-damaged cabinets
- Mattresses and box springs
- Baby and children’s equipment (cribs, car seats, high chairs)
- Clothing and shoes
- Paint, chemicals, solvents, and other hazardous materials
- Items containing asbestos or lead paint
- Large console or projection televisions
- Damaged, stained, torn, or heavily worn upholstered furniture
- Items missing parts or in non-working condition
Drop-Off & Pickup
- Free pickup is available for large items in the Waco area — call (254) 756-0131 to schedule.
- Pickup is subject to route availability and item condition; staff may decline on arrival.
Tax Receipts
A donation receipt is provided at drop-off. Waco Habitat for Humanity cannot assign a value to your donation — valuation is the donor’s responsibility. See IRS guidance on charitable contributions.
Items we can’t take? For disposal of items outside our guidelines, contact City of Waco Solid Waste Services.
