About the Harvest Dinner

Join us on Tuesday, November 17, from 5:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the BASE at Extraco Events Center for an evening of celebration, gratitude, and community at the Waco Habitat for Humanity Annual Harvest Dinner, presented by Ascension Providence. This special event is an opportunity for us to come together, and reflect on the achievements of the past year. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, donors, and supporters, we’ve been able to make significant strides in providing safe, affordable housing for families in Waco.

Throughout the evening, we will honor the remarkable contributions of those who have given their time, talents, and resources to further our mission. From the hands that have swung hammers to the hearts that have given generously, every effort has brought us closer to ensuring that everyone in our community has a place to call home.

We invite you to join us for an evening of delicious food, inspiring stories, and a shared commitment to building a better Waco, one home at a time.

About the Family

Deb 1 Final One

Help us build the Beechner family home by supporting the Harvest Dinner 2026. As the Beechner family makes their affordable house payments on their zero-interest mortgage, your gift will be recycled to help Waco Habitat serve more families in our community. At Waco Habitat for Humanity, we know shelter builds strength, stability, and self-reliance for families, whole communities, and the world. Join us and help us make dreams come true.

Sponsorships and Donations

As we gather for this year's Harvest Dinner, we celebrate the bountiful blessings of our community and the incredible work we've accomplished together. Yet, we know that many of our neighbors in Waco still face the daily challenge of unsafe, and unaffordable housing.  Waco Habitat for Humanity is committed to changing that, but we can’t do it without you.

At this year's Harvest Dinner, Waco Habitat is challenging our community to raise $300,000.00 to build a home with the Beechner family, and fund our new Critical Home Repair Program which will serve both home repairs and wheelchair ramps for our community.

By making a donation, you are not just helping to build houses—you are building hope, stability, and a brighter future for Beechner family. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to ensuring that the Beechner family have a safe and affordable home.  All gifts will be matched up to $120,000 by challenge grants provided by the Cooper Foundation, Bird Kultgen Ford, and the Anderson Foundation!

Texas Ramp Project

Since 2020, Waco Habitat has partnered with the Texas Ramp Project to build wheelchair ramps for elderly and disabled homeowners.  Waco Habitat pays for the materials and the Texas Ramp Project provides the volunteer labor to build each ramp. This partnership has allowed both organizations to serve more households in need of accessible entrances to their homes. In all, 55-60 ramps are built each year in McLennan County through the partnership.
